Student Technology Fee
Introduction
The Student Technology Fee (STF) was created to augment technology resources available to students on all CUNY campuses. Fees collected from Baruch students are held in reserve to fund projects that have a “demonstrable effect” on the student body. Baruch College has an advisory committee that consists of administrative staff, faculty, and student representatives that oversee budget allocation and project approval. The STF is totally dependent on the entire college community for its effectiveness driven by the submission of proposals submitted by students, faculty, and staff.
The STF Committee, chaired by the Vice President for Information Services and Chief Information Officer and composed of voting and non-voting members representing students, faculty, and staff, oversees the budget and approves projects to ensure Baruch students have continued access to state-of-the-art technology.
The faculty members were chosen by the Baruch College Faculty Senate. The student representatives were selected in consultation with the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA). The chair of the committee and the other members are appointed by the President.
