    Maintenance – Network – beginning at 6:30PM
    CIS will be performing software maintenance on the 41st street optical network core switches on Tuesday, July 15th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
    There is no service impact expected during this maintenance.

    CIS has restored CUNY Login Self-Service (managelogin.cuny.edu) services. Features such as “New User”, “Forgot Username”, “Forgot Password”, and “Manage your Account” are now fully accessible.
    We will continue to monitor the application and will provide updates if necessary.

    Students: We are pleased to announce that on June 23rd, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, we will be transitioning to the cloud-based version of our email security system, Proofpoint. This upgrade will enhance protection by reducing spam and blocking potentially malicious emails before they reach your inbox.

    CIS will be performing switch enhancements at 395 Hudson Street on Monday, March 10th, from 6:00 PM to 10:00PM. It is expected there will be intermittent service impact on CUNY applications and switches during this maintenance.

    Maintenance with Interruption: CUNY SSL digital certificates updates, from 7am to 5pm
    Over this maintenance window, CIS will be replacing the SSL digital certificates that provide secure access to applications and services available through the:
    CUNY Login Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials, such as CUNYfirst, Blackboard, Brightspace, Microsoft 365 and Zoom
    CUNY network and data center, such as CO-hosted email, SharePoint, CUNY website, Listserv and Tumbleweed

    Although the maintenance window spans 10 hours to accommodate all the applications and services involved, the interruption to individual application’s and service’s availability is limited to the time it takes replace its SSL digital certificate.

    11/26/24 – Outlook Issues Resolved

    Microsoft has resolved the performance issue with Outlook client and Outlook Web.
    Users should now be able to access Outlook client and Outlook Web. If any issues persist, please get in touch with the service desk.

While this issue is being investigated, a work around is to have users go directly to the customer service portal (https://cunyithelp.cuny.edu/csp).

    Anthology Issues. July 24, 2024
    Anthology is currently experiencing issues with Connect, Retain, and Apply Yourself (AY).
    Known Issues:
    They are preventing students from completing and submitting their applications in AY.
    It shows different attributes, and text and programs no longer exist.

    During this maintenance you can continue to use your CUNY Login credentials to log into your college or CUNY applications and services. However, note that there may be intermittent service disruptions that will prevent you from accessing the CUNY Login Self Service (managelogin.cuny.edu) site or the CUNY Login self-service functions (such as “Forgot Username” and “Forgot Password”) from the CUNY Login page.


    Maintenance with Interruption DegreeWorks Group 2 upgrade Wednesday, July 10 – July 15

    Impacted Users:  All DegreeWorks users based on their college’s upgrade group assignment
    CIS will be upgrading DegreeWorks to apply critical fixes in time for the fall semester.
    As shown below, Baruch College will have the upgrade occur as follows below:

    Please note the following:
    ·While the upgrade and outage windows for each group overlap, users will only be prevented from accessing DegreeWorks during their group’s upgrade and outage window.

    · FACTS will remain available during the DegreeWorks upgrade but users must access FACTS using the direct link (https://facts.cuny.edu/FinAid_EligibilityAudit/college_menu.jsp)
    during the upgrade.

    · Each college’s FACTS data will not be refreshed until after the DegreeWorks upgrade has been completed.
    ·The Transfer What-If DegreeWorks function will be intermittently unavailable on July 17 as it is re-integrated with the updated DegreeWorks.


    Maintenance – Cortex XDR – beginning 07/15/24

    CIS will be enabling Cortex XDR Broker VMs which avoids each XDR agent individually downloading updates from the Cortex cloud. If an agent can’t reach a Broker VM it will revert to downloading directly from the cloud.

    Tumbleweed system, Out of Service, Friday, May 10, 2024
    CUNY’s Tumbleweed secure file transfer system will be upgraded on Friday, May 10, 2024 to enhance security and functionality. The Tumbleweed environment will not be available during this upgrade, 9:00am to 2:00pm.
    Owners of accounts that download data from Tumbleweed are encouraged to complete all file transfers before the system is taken offline at 9:00 AM for the upgrade.
    After the upgrade is completed at 2:00pm, owners of accounts that run automated processes should test to ensure transfers are successfully executed.

    During this period, you will not have access to Coursedog. It’s important to note that the security that enables you to log into Coursedog via Single Sign-On is sourced from CUNYfirst. As a result, you will not be able to login into Cooursedog during this downtime.
