The student computer labs and the Library use PaperCut print management software.  Each student receives an allocation of laser printing at the beginning of every semester. The print balance is not carried over from one session/semester to the next.  Students who need to print beyond their semester allocation can add value to their printing accounts at kiosks that accept cash on the 2nd floor of the Library and in the 6th floor Library building lab.

Printing allocations are now in Baruch Credits:

    Fall Semester 500 Baruch Credits
    Winter Session 150 Baruch Credits
    Spring Semester 500 Baruch Credits
Summer Session 150 Baruch Credits (per session)

Black and White prints:  1 Baruch Credit per page (single or double sided)
    Color prints: 5 Baruch Credits

(Color printers are available on the 2nd floor and the BCTC Lab on the 6th floor of the Library Building)

The printing service is intended to support course-related work only. Lab staff have the right to ensure that the printing service is not being used for other purposes and they will cancel print jobs and retain prints that do not adhere to this restriction.  Students should not use the printing service to obtain blank paper.  Abuse of the printing service may lead to the cancellation of a printing account and disciplinary action.

As part of the College’s commitment to sustainability and a greener campus, students are asked to print only when necessary. In addition, printers are set for double-sided (duplex) copying by default.

Students should review documents in Print Preview before printing them to avoid any issues such as empty pages, garbled text, or printing the wrong document.   Students can print to either the color or B&W print queue on any lab computer, and release their job at any printers in the Library, 6th floor ITB lab, or any of the BCTC labs in the Vertical Campus. Baruch Credits are not deducted for a print job until it is released to a printer, and jobs will be deleted from the system after 2 hours.

No credits are provided for sending wrong print jobs, corrupt jobs or printer malfunctions.

Available in two locations (one on the 2nd floor of the Library and the other inside the 6th Floor Library Lab), the self service print kiosks allow students the opportunity to replenish their print accounts.   The kiosks only accept dollar bills and amounts allocated to an account are unable to be refunded. To avoid the issue of accounts having large balances, student cannot replenish an account to a balance more than 100 Baruch Credits.  New Self-Service kiosks are being configured and will be available to students soon.

Students receive 5 Baruch Credits for every dollar loaded into the machines. For example, a $20 payment will provide 100 Baruch Credits.

Balances are handled the same way as student print accounts – They are only available for the current semester and not carried over to subsequent semesters.

Resume printing is available in the Martin E. and Laurie Kaplan Computing & Technology Center, this is located on the
6th floor in the Library and Technology Building.  You can print 5 pages per person, per day.
