    Access computer labs remotely

Multiple student computing labs are dispersed across campus and provide students access to software and technologies for course related content requiring computer hardware. The primary use of the machines in our computing labs is for academic use and take precedence over all others. The student computing labs house Windows and Macintosh based computers as well as a variety of peripherals. Most labs have a dedicated printer for physical output of information (for more on printing, please see our page on Printing for Students). Software and applications range from word processing, desktop publishing, web browsers, e-mail access and more.

Students are responsible for saving their work periodically and maintaining copies of their documents when using Baruch-owned workstations. You have the option of saving your work to your own flash drive or emailing a copy of your document to maintain a backup. Lab staff cannot assist with data recovery.

    • Food consumption and drinking is prohibited in the student lab spaces.
We do not want to attract pests and we would like for our students to be able to work
in a clean trash- free environment.
    • Cell phone use is prohibited in all student lab spaces.
We want to keep a quiet environment for you and your fellow students.

On the 6th floor lab space, students are to swipe with their student ID cards for entry.
The ID cards must be current and students must be currently enrolled. No exceptions.

The staplers provided at the front desk are to be handled with care. Please do not misuse or damage them. Students are asked to use the staplers at the front of the desk, not behind the desk as a safety measure for staff and to protect your fellow student’s personal data from being viewed if they are being helped by our staff at any given time.

6th floor Collaboration Rooms are available for individual or group use by appointment. Users can reserve the room for a two-hour time slot. Appointments can be made in advance or at the time of need based on availability. Please visit www.baruch.cuny.edu/navigate to make an appointment.
