BCTC News: Proofpoint (Email hygiene system) transition October 4, 2024

We are pleased to inform you that on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 9:00 AM, we will be transitioning to the cloud-based version of our email hygiene system, Proofpoint. Proofpoint helps prevent the unwanted delivery of spam and other potentially malicious email.

Transitioning to the cloud-based version of Proofpoint will provide us some efficiencies, including reduced processing time for scanning incoming email, better pricing, and allowing us to eventually provide this same service to student email accounts.

During the transition period, you may experience temporary delays in receiving emails from external (non-CUNY) senders. All temporary delays in receiving email should be resolved by 10:00 AM.
